12 volt/110 volt Koolatron adapter

5.0 / 5.0

We've had a family reunion and had our new kooler plugged into this for 6 days now and it works perfect and it doesn't overheat at all. We love it and would recommend it to anyone. We also used it in our vehicle's 110 volt recepticle. Perfect there too.

Koolatron Multi-Purpose Adapter 110AC to 12 Volts DC ( Model AC-15)

12 volts from "the wall"

3.0 / 5.0

This adapter plugs into the wall and turns out 12volts just like your in-car plugs. It is effective and looks reliable (I haven't had it long enough to rate lifetime). It does get pretty hot, so you need to be careful not to let the cords sit on top of the adapter while in use

Adapter great for on the road

5.0 / 5.0

The adapter made it possible to take the cooler along with its contents into our motel room every night, saving money on breakfasts and lunches while keeping things safe and cool.

it takes the magical energy in my wall and runs my cooler every time I plug it in.

Stopped working almost immediately

1.0 / 5.0

This whole Koolatron purchase was the worst thing I made on Amazon. Stay clear of it.

TV Off, Funtime On

Once in awhile I get a nice reminder of why we do what we do, and how good life is when it seems to conform to our plans. Like this holiday weekend Up North. (Thanks for having the guts to cross an ocean, Columbus.) We’ve got company that showed up late Saturday night, a mom and two kids around Graham’s age. They arrived to find us already gathered around a campfire, S’mores supplies and beers all good to go. Then Sunday, I had a full day with the kids. A boat ride to ret

More on gas prices & trip to Maryland

More on gas prices & trip to Maryland October 12th, 2008 It looks like the financial system of the world is crumbling and along with that the price of oil is falling off the wall, but that’s a good thing. There are two problems I see here. The first is that he price at the pump isn’t falling at the same rate that the price of oil is falling. When oil is rising in price, the price at the pump goes up at the same rate. The second problem I see is that we will certainly be paying less at the p

Fan Camping Areas: Enter If You Dare

I swear, I have yet to find a group of fans, or people for that matter, that know how to party and express themselves better then NASCAR fans.  One only needs to take a walk through a camping area at a Cup race to discover this for themselves.  I can promise you it will be an entertaining, and probably educational experience. A common way to camp out at a race, that I discovered a while back, is the old converted school bus method.  With a little money, an old school bus, some ingenuity, and a
