Customer Reviews

sometime arms

1.0 / 5.0

This product would be nice if I didn't have to continuously
push the arm button for it to activate. I have no problem to
disarm the unit, but when I try to arm the unit, I would
have to push the arm button many times to activate the system.
In frustration, since it is so difficult to arm, sometimes I don't
even arm the unit unless I go out of town.

I replaced the item with a "GE SmartHome Wireless Motion Sensor Alarm with Programmable Keypad #51209" and it does the job.

Loud, so be careful. This is NO TOY!

4.0 / 5.0

I just installed this as a kit. It will actually damage your ears, even outdoors. This is no toy.
Keep that black disarm button handy and point it right at the device, since it is infared and needs to pointed at the device to arm or disarm.

It works well, and offers a lot of protection relative to expensive monthly fee systems. Anyone getting in will want to get out fast, and your neighbors will definitely be calling the cops. I put the stickers in visible places so the cops, and the burglers, know what's up.

Be very careful, and only arm it when leaving the house. Keep the disarm button in a place you can access it easily. False alarms will be literally painful.

You Get What You Pay For

3.0 / 5.0

For the price, this device works ok, especially since it is portable. The remote quit working on me and I had trouble getting it to work again. Also, I didn't really like that once the motion was detected, there were 15 seconds before the alarm went off. I wish there was an option to make the alarm immediate.

For less than 40 bucks your garage is alarmed

5.0 / 5.0

I got my Strobe Motion Alarm yesterday and hooked it up in the garage today. It works like a charm (as long as you don't put that 9 Volt Battery in backward :-)

A flashlight-like blinking light goes off and it screams about like a smoke alarm sounding. That should be enough to get whoever it is who wants your bikes running and enough to alert you too.

Would I want this thing protecting my house? No. But it's perfect for our detached garage and well worth the price.

You know what this gadget would be good for too? Put one in the bottom of your gas outdoor grill. Somebody moves the grill and the unit will start screaming. I may have to buy another one.

No False Alarms

5.0 / 5.0

I installed this in my basement to give me some peace of mind when sleeping. So far, no false alarms and loud enough to scare the **** out of me when I forget to disarm. I'm thinking of putting another on the first floor. I highly recommend it.

New member of the family

New member of the family October 6th, 2008 A month ago we adopted a new member of the family, Presley. We got him from the Northern California Border Collie rescue. Presley will be joining us in our excellent adventures we have in the Sprinter. We start some basic school next week. Presley has issues with small children and other dogs. In his previous home, the children were not too well supervised and he suffered as a result. He also did not know what grass was, does not play with any dogs
