Buyer Beware: Chair Material Not Sweat Friendly

3.0 / 5.0

I used this as a beach chair through 2008. It's an excellent chair for transporting all my beach things: ipod, towel, wallet, hawaiian tropic. It folds easily and never found it heavy for me at all walking to the beach with it slung over one or two shoulders.

But...i'm an old-school beach bum and the material they use for the chair is very sturdy and thick, but also would make me sweat a lot. I would get up from about an hour on the beach and the entire chair would be soaked with my sweat.

I'm not a sweaty guy - i'm really not.

I have been on other beach chairs in my life, and this one I need to lay a towel on it to soak up my sweat.

I think its much better suited for camping over the beach...but I still think it's a "OK" beach chair, which is why i'd give it 3 stars.

If the manufacturer could make something more suited for beach use (a lighter, thinnner more comfortable material) I think it would be an even bigger hit.

Love it!!!

Was born and raised at the beach and return every summer. Always looking for the perfect beach chair. These chairs were awesome! Lightweight, a convenient large backpack, and very comfortable with the adjustable padded head cushion. We all fought over who got to use one the three that I purchased. Will absolutely buy more for next summer!

Great Concert, Beach, and all around chairs

5.0 / 5.0

I have 3 of these chairs (green, blue, and blue childrens) and they are great. Lightweight, easy to carry, and can pack enough things in the back for a concert, beach, hike, or WearEver you decide to go.

Great backpack chair

5.0 / 5.0

Took this chair to the beach for a week. It was easy and comfortable to wear. Eliminated need for a beach bag. Was able to store 2 large beach towels, etc in the storage compartment easily. Great chair and price. Happy with my purchase so far.

favorite beach chair ever! :)

5.0 / 5.0

I had this chair when I lived at the beach (Maui) and used it everyday. It was my favorite. Then, I moved back to the states and left it to a roommate. So I had to order a new one because I missed it so much. It is good for carrying all the beach essentials and it is comfy for sitting and reading and laying out in the sun. (Also good for car camping). The only thing that I miss about my old chair is that it had some rope intertwined along the sides so it seemed sturdier and more comfy. Other than that, best chair ever!! :)

Camping Fun at Lake McBride

Thank You, God! We just enjoyed a beautiful family weekend together camping at Lake McBride. (This is the same gorgeous state park where the family pictures in my sidebar were taken last year.) We hiked, made sandcastles, visited the dam and spillway, and camped over night. What a beautiful time of year this is with the leaves changing. Lord, Your Creation is amazing! Thanks for the incredible blessings!

Peyton Sellers Says Goodbye To Andy Santerre Motorsports In Style, Dramatically

Peyton Sellers sat in the car and waited, and waited, and waited some more. Five minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes went by and there he sat in his car in victory lane. He sat and thought about the season opening Camping World East Series event way back on April 19 at Greenville-Pickens Speedway in Easely, S.C. That was the day he seemingly had won his first career Camping World East event. It was a victory stripped of him days later though for a technical violation. And there he sat Sunday

Hells Canyon Oregon| Bear Mountain

Recently I backpacked through Hells Canyon in the remote northeast corner of Oregon.  The Hells Canyon National Recreation Area is part of the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and is between the borders of northeastern Oregon and western Idaho.  The area encompasses 652,488 scenic acres and over 900 miles of trails.  In its deepest part, Hells Canyon drops 8,000 to the Snake River, making it the deepest river gorge in North America.  After some research, I chose the destination of Bear Mount
