Description

The Maui Jim Kapalua is the pinnacle of Maui Jim's ultra-light sport designs. The Kapalua is part of the Maui Jim Titanium Sport line of sunglasses. Fashioned from a strong, flexible beta-titanium alloy and combined with impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses, the Kapaluas weigh a mere eleven grams. Maui Jim's exclusive CLEARSHELL coating resists scratches and scuffs, and like all Jims, PolarizedPlus Technology eliminates glare and UV rays. A polarized lens' primary function is to reduce glarethat is, light reflected from a flat surface which greatly diminishes color and contrast. A body of water, a windshield, and even an asphalt road are all notorious producers of polarized light. Polarized lenses are most useful when trying to see through these reflecting surfaces, like when fishing, boating, or driving. Maui Jim sunglasses feature one of the most effective polarized lenses on the market. They are lightweight, tough, and very stylish.

Customer Reviews

Simply the best

5.0 / 5.0

I spend a lot of time outdoors so I was looking for a quality lens that would not give me a "racoon" tan. These glasses are awesome. I have had mine 4 years. The warranty expires in two years, but when I went to the Maui Jim store on Maui, they graciously fixed the broken frame in ten minutes without hesitation. They didn't seem to care how long I had them. (must go to Maui for that extra service, rats!)

A great pair of sunglasses

4.0 / 5.0

I actually used to sell sunglasses about eight years ago. I got a pair of these as a reward for selling so many. I ended up wearing them as my only pair of sunglasses for the better part of a decade.

They were great driving, on the beach, in the water, etc. They held up pretty well considering how much use they got.

Eventually the corner of the lenses near the nose bridge cracked although they remained wearable for at least a year. I suppose they are still wearable actually but I did finally buy a new pair. Considering how much use I got out of them they were well worth the purchase price and I had no issues with buying another pair after my first pair had served me so well for so long.

Great Sunglasses

5.0 / 5.0

I got mine at Sam's Club. They were the last pair on the shelf so I got a great price for it. These glasses are very light. The lens are of the best material. You can see and feel the quality built in these glasses.

Excellent overall !

Husband's present

5.0 / 5.0

I got these for my husband for Christmas and I couldn't believe the great price. He loves them. I couldn't have been more happy with the product.

I may be doing some extra office work during our camping trip, is there a Wenger bag that can hold my documents and paperwork? Even though I am not at all in favor of people working during a camping trip (camping trips are supposed to be fun and a break from your work!), I must say that you are lucky because Wenger have bags specifically designed for this purpose. Maybe Wenger knows that there would be people who will still be working during a vacation! The Wenger Oack Reise Document Holder i

The Ultimate Camping Supply Checklist Guide - Mum, Do We Need Camping Tables?

The Ultimate Camping Supply Checklist Guide - Mum, Do We Need Camping Tables? One of the things in your camping supply checklist that some people may forget to include is that of a camping table, especially a foldable one. Most first time campers are too eager to simply get on with the camping trip that they did not picture themselves eating comfortably on the camping ground. In fact, one of the many items that I usually remind fellow campers to bring on their camping trips is a good, sturdy
