Customer Reviews
Great for sleeping bag storage and transport...

I purchased a Wenger Rhine Queen 20-30-40 degree sleeping bag which has a detachable hood and liner. Rolled, it was very bulky. The product description said the bag came with its own stuff sack, but it didn't. The Granite Gear 3XL (12x25") sack fits the sleeping bag with the detached hood folded and laid inside on top of the sleeping bag. I was so satisfied that I also purchased the 2XL (11x23") sack for a standard rectangular Eddie Bauer 40-60 degree bag and it fit perfectly (and was a few bucks cheaper). The construction of these compression sacks are very rugged. The material seams hold solidly against the pressure of 'stuffing'. It is great for sleeping bag transport and storage; keeping dust, etc out of the bag over the winter. This a great stuff sack!
this thing is tough

I needed a compression sack for my sleeping bag and decided to check out granite gear as I had heard good things and my granite gear backpack is great. I would compare it to Nalgene water bottles. Sure, you can break them but you have to be trying awfully hard. When I really need the space I sit on it and pull the straps as hard as I can. This could possibly be considered abuse but it has held up for years like that and is showing no sings of quiting. Great product and a great company.
