My FAVORITE~!!!!!!!!!!
I love this item for everyday use around the house emergency. Its strong, super bright, economical, compact which fit in palm of my hand, and it has red LED for night vision so your eye wont hurt when suddenly you get back into a regular lighted room,etc. So why only 4 stars ? Because when I was comparing the same 7736D models from different sites, the names, item numbers, and specs were all different and SUPER confusing. COSLL7736D, TT7736D, LL7736D, 7736D......etc. The one I saw at the Lows's said only 22Lum. where the other site says 60Lum, 100Lums, etc. But they are all the same in reality. What's up with that?
"Bright Light, Bright Light!!!
Make no mistake about it, this is one bright light! It has 5 white LED bulbs and one red LED. Even the single red LED gives off a LOT of light, so you can imagine how much all those white LEDs produce.
It is a handy little size that will fit easily in your glove compartment and is almost (note...almost) pants pocket size. It does come with a nice pouch that it fits in quite well. The only dray back, and thus the 4 star rating, is that the sort of knife shaped belt clip on the back is a bit strange in design and doesn't feel all that secure on my belt. A minor complaint though and I am very pleased with this flashlight.
WOW ! Too Bright For My Application !
I got one of these a while ago for an astronomy application, thinking that the white light would be good for telescope set-up, while the red would preserve dark adapted vision when reading star maps. Turns out, the red beam is VERY bright, so dark-adaption is not preserved.
This flashlight, however is a GREAT item to carry in the car, for emergencies. Impressive, well made, high quality flashlight should provide YEARS of service.
Note: Stated run time (100Hours) is optimistic.
