Description

Techni Ice reusable ice packs. Techni Ice HDR consists of a 4 layer construction. Techni Ice has two outer layers are of heavy duty plastic while the two inner plies are made to resist puncture and holds the main ingredient to Techni Ice, a refrigerant polymer. Techni Ice is made of a puncture resistant material is actually a cross-linked polyacrylate polyalcohol co-polymer refrigerant that's combined with a proprietary secret formula. Even if the plastic rips, the inside layer will hold the Ice in. Hydrating: When new, the Techni Ice comes in extremely thin sheets that require hydrating before freezing or heating. To activate the cells, simply fill a bucket or sink with warm water; cold water will work as well, but warm works best from what we've experienced. Immerse the sheet in the warm water for about 90 seconds while scrunching the Techni Ice. You will know when they are done and the Techni Ice recommends that you leave a thumb indentation in each cell during the swelling to allow room for expansion during freezing. When we hydrated 10 sheets, we found that having all cells submerged during the procedure is important, and even so, when crunching the cells, not all of them will expand at the same rate which required more work to get them to the desired size.

Customer Reviews

Great Product

5.0 / 5.0

I love these sheets. I bring my cooler with me wherever I go. Using the Techi-ICE Sheets I know that my food stays cold all day.

BEST COOLER PACKS I'VE USED

5.0 / 5.0

I really wasn't sure this product would work as advertised ,but I was very happy it did. The way you need to activate them seemed odd ,but not difficult.
Food and beverages stored in my cooler after 16 hrs.at high tempertures felt as though they were just removed from the refridgerator.
I use 2 1/2 sheets in a twelve pack cooler. I have yet to have any problem with any kind of water leakage as they thawed ( one woman stated she had). Considering the great cooling you get if I ever did get any water leakage I would just stick the sheets in a ziplock bag . Heck , you would do that with ice.
I also was very satisfied with the extra room I have using the sheets compared to ice.

I have had the same Techni Ice packs for 7 years!

5.0 / 5.0

I have had the same Techni Ice packs for 7 years! Still work as great as they did on day 1. I am looking for more. I was worried they didn't make them anymore because it had been so long. Glad to find them again.

Perfect for keeping things cold!

5.0 / 5.0

I came back to change my review. At first I loved this product. I used it in a drink bag to carry drinks They stayed cold more than any other ice pack I have used. And the fact that they come without water was great for storage. But it is also their biggest downfall. It tells you that water goes in through a one way system but it comes back out also if you are so unlucky to let them thaw. I learned this recently the hard way. Amazon woul not let me edit the stars but I would have changed tham to 2 stars.

Smart buy

5.0 / 5.0

I recently purchased ten sheets of Techni Ice and was surprised how easy it was to use. Three hours in my freezer and it was frozen solid. Techni Ice is a definite buy for anyone tired of spending bundles on ice for camping, fishing, or whatever. Cheaper than dry ice and last longer than regular ice. Plus, I can use it again next camping trip. I definitely got my money's worth.

Campsites as A Whole Camping World

Our campsites were a whole camping world for us in which we were two good neighbors to each other. And we were the neighbors who were in love with each other too. It was true for wherever we pitched our tents during the period Eva and I traveled together in the mysterious valley of Lahaul and Spiti. We would always pitch our tents by the riverside so that water was never a problem as well as it added a new dimension to the scenery around. Playing with water was the best opportunity that

Long Term Parking

Karin and I took a quick spin to Home Depot to pick up a new air filter for the house when we spotted this urban camper settled in for what appears to be an extended stay.  Notice the satellite dish next to the camper door?  The man must be on a serious shopping mission. If nothing else you gotta admire his dedication to staying off the grid.  It’s this type of person we’ll be looking up to when machines finally take over…
