Customer Reviews

Perfect

5.0 / 5.0

I purchased this for my husband who is a coffee fanatic. His work requires him to be out for two nights then home for one - two weeks out of the month. He was taking 3 small ones when he left in the morning. Now he only has to pack one and it keeps the coffee warm for most of the day. It really helps if you fill it with hot water for about 45 minutes before putting the coffee in. It is just what I expected from Stanley - big, heavy, and greeen :). Perfect

Stanley ain't like the "Old Days".........

1.0 / 5.0

I've got several older 1-quart bottles that work great; however, I am VERY disappointed with the new 2 quart bottle that I just purchased. I have pre-filled with boiling water and the thing still won't keep coffee hot more than 3 hours, even in moderate temperatures. It is literally luke-warm in 3 hours! So, you may ask, what about that "famous" Stanley Lifetime Guarantee? Good luck.....they won't even return my E-mails. I don't know what happened to this once great company, but I will never buy another Stanley Thermos (except maybe an older one). I haven't looked into it, but I would suspect that their products are no longer "American Made" if you know what I mean. Anyone want to buy a cheap thermos? Mine will be on E-bay......I'm buying a Nissan Vacuum Bottle.

Stanley 2.0 QT. Classic Vacuum Bottle

5.0 / 5.0

Bought this for my husband who works outside as a Plumber and he loves it. He said it holds a good amount of water and stays cold all day long even in the heat if left in his truck.

Stanley Half-Gallon Vacuum Bottle

5.0 / 5.0

Simply put, the finest brand and model on the market. Preheat bottle for five minutes with boiling water before filling, and your coffee will still pour too hot to sip ten hours later. Wide mouth feature for ice cubes if cold drinks are your preference. Absolutely drip-proof. Two-piece cap/cup is metal with plastic insert that provides for pretty credible thermal insulation. Cup's metal exterior not only looks classy but provides nice "handwarmer" effect to boot. I could not be happier unless the bottle were to brew the coffee and fill itself.

Eat to Live

I just had the worst energy bar. I don't know why I still buy this crap. I've heard that you're better off hauling Snickers bars than the overpriced REI food so I decided to find out. Mark Twight ( soooo dreamy) suggests consuming 200 Cal per hour while mountaineering in order to replenish depleted glycogen stores and avoid hitting the wall. Ideally 60-70% of this should come from carbs and the remainder from fat and protein. Here's the breakdown: Snickers Weight: 58.7g 280 Cal 14g
