Stanley 20oz. Clasic Mug "Flunks"
I purchased two Stanley 20oz stainless steel mugs believing they used stainless steel "Vacuum bottle" technology to keep drinks hot/cold. I WAS WRONG. These overpriced mugs use "dead airspace" for insulation.
I tested the mugs by placing 8 large ice cubes in a mug and filling it with cold water. All of the ice was melted within 2-1/2 hours and the water temperature was 42 degrees F.
There is also no way to insert a drinking straw without removing the lid (now the mug can leak) or drill a hole through the lid (now the mug can leak).
The instructions that come with the mug also informed me that I "could not" put carbonated beverages in these mugs. Nowhere does the advertising literature mention this.
I give this 20oz Stanley mug "0" stars.

Finally, a coffee cup I can't break!
I have spent years trying to find something that I can't break. This is it! I've dropped it, knocked it over, etc . . . and it keeps on going. Keeps my coffee warm for hours. My only quibble is the O-ring seal likes to pop off in the wash.
I'll update the review if I ever manage to destroy it.
Best mug for my needs
This mug was purchased for me as a gift. I commute to work on a bicycle every day in all weather. I brew decent coffee at home, seal this mug, toss it in my bike basket and off I go. It has taken a beating bouncing around in that basket and has held up very well. The coffee is always hot after a 2 mile ride - even in single digit weather.
The main advantage is, unlike most travel mugs, this one seals shut with a gasket. The screw on top makes a firm seal that stands up to the abuse I throw at this cup. It simply WILL NOT spill. However, its strength is also its weakness for some people. You must unscrew and remove the top to drink. Don't buy this to drink coffee on the way to work in heated leather seats while listening to NPR. Buy this to get your beverage somewhere intact and hot.
Leaves a plastic aftertaste in coffee
Try to find another mug. While it kept coffee warm for about 4 hours, it leaves a plastic aftertaste.
No hole for a straw!
While the mug is big (which I wanted for my iced coffee in the morning) there is no hole which would allow me to insert a straw for tidier sipping!! Bummer.
