Question about sizing.

5.0 / 5.0

I am planning to buy this jacket for my boyfriend and don't know what size to get. He's about 6'4" but is medium built. Do you think a large will be big enough? There's no information on this page.

Please respond! :)

The best a man can get! Carhartt is the bomb!

5.0 / 5.0

I work construction in Washington state and I can tell you first hand during fall, winter and spring, we get plenty of rainy weather! The jacket is great since it has a tough PVC outer shell and a canvas/nylon inner shell. The bib trousers are great and have an extra PVC layer on the knees to prevent ripping. The bibs also have knee pad pockets on the inside so if you're roofing (like I do), you can put some pads inside the knee area of the bibs and keep your knees from being uncomfortable all day. The rain slicker comes either with or without an attached hood. I prefer the one with since I wear my hood over my hard hat and I can cinch up the hood nice and snug on a hard rainy day. The water oozes nicely off the suit while I am workin and coat keeps me dry and pretty warm most of the time. If you're a sweatin kinda guy, this suit might not work too good. It's quite heavy but it takes a beating and lasts a long time in really heavy weather. Jacket has 2 storm pockets at the bottom of the jacket and one chest pocket to keep your cigs or your chew dry while you're workin. I love this suit and works great for Northwesterners like myself!

PVC Toxic

1.0 / 5.0

Here is what the Center for Health, Environment and Justice says about PVC on their website:
"PVC (polyvinyl chloride) plastic, commonly referred to as vinyl, is one of the most hazardous consumer products ever created. PVC is dangerous to human health and the environment throughout its entire life cycle, at the factory, in our homes, and in the trash. Our bodies are contaminated with poisonous chemicals released during the PVC lifecycle, such as mercury, dioxins, and phthalates, which may pose irreversible life-long health threats. When produced or burned, PVC plastic releases dioxins, a group of the most potent synthetic chemicals ever tested, which can cause cancer and harm the immune and reproductive systems."

Extremely unattractive, in green or yellow

This product is great for working, or boating, or sporting, but not to wear around. It is almost blindingly ugly. Not a typical Carhartt handsome and city-friendly, garment.

The last rain coat I'll ever buy

5.0 / 5.0

Carhartt has hit another home run with me. This is one incredibly sturdy, heavy duty garment. It has a totally waterproof layer of rubberized membrane over a nice canvas base. The elastic cuffs are a bit snug, and the coat weighs more than the averge rain jacket, but I work outside and won't have to worry about tearing it on the smallest snag. This is a coat suitable for commercial fishermen. I'll be buying the matching bibs for sure.

I just had the worst energy bar. I don't know why I still buy this crap. I've heard that you're better off hauling Snickers bars than the overpriced REI food so I decided to find out. Ideally 60-70% of this should come from carbs and the remainder from fat and protein. Here's the breakdown: Snickers Weight: 58.7g 280 Cal 14g

20 Unique Holiday Gifts

For those of you who despise “typical holiday gifts” like multi-tools and candle sets, I’ve listed a bunch of stuff from my favorite sites that are not typical gifts. You can be sure there wont be any dupes under the tree with this stuff.   Spoon Sisters has a ton of really cool (and ingenius) things. They also organize their gifts by things like Hostess, College and Our Friend Fred (for those people you don’t know very well but want to get something really neat).  The ‘Edge’ Brownie Pan, for th
