Customer Reviews
Exactly what I was looking for!!

I am a beginner run/walker and was getting to distances for which I did not want to carry a water bottle all the time - I wanted a little more freedom for my upper body - so I began searching for other ways to tote my invaluable water supply. This camelbak has a wide mouth opening (very convenient for adding ice), it does not leak, is very lightweight, does not interfere with my arms (like some of the waist belt water bottles) and I have gotten to where I don't even realize it's there. I have also used it for trips to museums, and plan to use it if and when we go to amuzement parks, hiking, or any long walking adventures. I VERY HIGHLY recommend.
bulky, not great for running

Too big to use for running as a female, I returned it. Maybe better for hiking, biking as it wouldn't be such an awkward weight.
Very nice

can't go wrong with camelbak. This gets the weight off your shoulders and keeps the center of gravity low
Cool, Useful Product

Got a $10 deal on the pink color. Oh, hush!
Some black fabric paint and an hour later and now it's a little more masculine.
Great for long runs

I bought this pack for long runs and have been quite happy with it. It is easy to fill with water and ice and provides enough water for two hour run without refilling. The insulation keeps the water cold for the whole run and it is refreshing to have the cool pack on your lower back during hot runs. It is incredibly easy to drink from while running and you don't take in any air.
The biggest issue is keeping it tight so it doesn't bounce. I've found that the trick is to tighten the waist strap first (I wear it across my pelvic bone over my shorts), knot the waste straps (they tend to slip if you don't) and then tighten the cinch straps on the sides. If it is completely full, it may still bounce a little, but a few sips in and it won't (motivation to drink early). The key though is to keep the cinch straps tight; otherwise, it will drive you crazy. The cinch straps are easy to tighten while running, so I just snug them up after each drink. I had planned to just wear it on hot days since I thought it might be uncomfortable, but I wear it on all my long runs (150 miles in the last 10 days) and have been recommending it to everyone I run with.
