Cool and light
Our family planned a vacation that involved being in the sun for hours every day. I knew I needed a hat. After all, I don't spend all that money in the salon to have my newly non-grey hair turn brassy or fade! Ok, so I'm vain. But, I also wanted sun protection and besides, a hat is way less expensive than a pair of prescription sunglasses.
I am very pleased with this hat. It's quite light and provides great shade. You can take the strings off if you like (I just put them to the back unless it was too windy). There is an elastic cord around the crown to adjust the fit. The coolmax liner around the crown on the inside was wonderful. I generally don't like to wear hats in the summer as they make me too hot. This one actually seemed to not make any difference. I liked it so much that I bought one as a gift for a friend who was going on vacation.

I love this hat. It has a wide brim, I felt well covered. Comfy too!
