works, but isn't perfect
best thing about the product is that it heats water FAST. that's convenient when you are camping. however, it's kind of heavy for what it does. also, the built-in ignition switch failed on mine after 1 usage. ths is good for serious backpackers, otherwise go with something cheaper.
Wow, this is great.
I love this system. Its great for boiling water, soup, stew, coffee or anything you don't have to fry.. though I suppose you could fry in the mug if your item is small enough. It will boil two cups of water in less than two minutes and comes with a cover for the bottom of the mug that can be used for a bowl or a second cup. The coffee press works as well as any camping coffee press and the insulated mug is ready to drink from.
The thing I like the most about this system is that it heats so quickly, because of the patiented bottom of the mug that holds and radiates the heat and the fact that the whole system fits inside the mug, fuel bottle and all. This is great for backpacking or when you just want to save room.
I liked this so much I went out and got the group system to go with it, which is a bigger pot to cook in and a stablizer for the pot and fuel bottle. Everything fits inside the pot also.
Its not cheap but it isn't made cheaply and this price is actually less than I paid for mine and I had to go out and buy the coffee press separately for $20. I almost wish I had waited. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes to camp out or backpack.
