I just bought this thermos and it works great. I was worried about heat retention, so I did an experiment with boiling water. My first measurement was 185 degrees. Every hour after my initial measurement was 5 degrees cooler - I did this for 4 hours and it was very consistent. Also take in consideration it took about 1 minute to take a proper temp., so the water stood exposed for awhile.
The bottle is only 16oz...I hope they make a bigger one.
Surprisingly disappointing! Doesn't retain heat!
I ordered this thermos because I liked the size and the fun, pink color and style. I also thought a specific Thermos company would have the
best quality product. It is a little heavier than most thermos this size, but I thought it would be better.
However, when I add my morning coffee to it, the coffee is cold by the time I open the thermos just about 2 hours later.
I tried heating the thermos first by adding hot water to warm it before
the coffee. It will retain heat a little longer, but it quickly cools even when firmly sealed.
My last, grocery-store, on-sale thermos was much better
(and less expensive)and would retain the heat throughout the day, but it's too big to cart around. What went wrong with this product?
