Description

Updated for 2008! Light and sturdy, the LEKI Super Micro cane collapses to a super-short 17.7 inches making it ultra-convenient to take it along on all your travels. Note: The maximum length of the Super Micro is only 35 inches. The Super Micro now features LEKI's new Super Lock System (SLS). Taking advantage of wider thread patterns and steeper-angled lock adjustments, the SLS design allows for quicker and easier adjustments and is up to 60 times more secure than other locking systems. The SLS locking system is far less prone to loosening while in use, giving you peace of mind even in challenging situations. LEKI's Cor-Tec grip is made from 80% natural ground cork and 20% latex making it lightweight, strong and comfortable. The carbide flex tip deflects up to 30 degrees without damaging the lower pole section. This reduces the risk of shaft breakage if the cane should get caught between rocks or tree roots. The rubber tip attachment makes the Super Micro cane suitable for use indoors or on paved surfaces. As testament to the strength and longevity of LEKI's designs, the Super Micro cane includes LEKI's lifetime warranty for shaft breakage.

Here’s a great video of a group hiking to “earn their turns” in the Eastern Sierras. Love the fact that these guys camped out in the middle of the road overnight. The snow doesn’t look great but hey, who’s complaining when you can get out early or late in the season to a secluded place of your own and make fresh tracks, however thin… Backcountry Snowboarding California from Ray Ellis on Vimeo.
