Stanley for Life

4.0 / 5.0

I developed Stanley Thermos envy on a recent camping trip when a friend had hot water for tea after several hours without having to fire up the stove. I like the style of the Bolt..very industrial. I bought this combo because I thought the coffee mug might be spillproof, but it is not. I would love a coffee mug that does NOT drip.

Eat to Live

I just had the worst energy bar. I don't know why I still buy this crap. I've heard that you're better off hauling Snickers bars than the overpriced REI food so I decided to find out. Mark Twight ( soooo dreamy) suggests consuming 200 Cal per hour while mountaineering in order to replenish depleted glycogen stores and avoid hitting the wall. Ideally 60-70% of this should come from carbs and the remainder from fat and protein. Here's the breakdown: Snickers Weight: 58.7g 280 Cal 14g
