Great Strap Pad

5.0 / 5.0

I just purchased this strap pad and it is perfect with my timbuk2 medium messenger bag. The grip is awesome and works well whether you want to carry your bag with the strap across your chest (messenger style) or over one shoulder with the bag down at your side. Fits snug enough around the strap so it doesn't slide all over, but will stay on your shoulder if you need to swing the bag to your front to retrieve an item inside (one of my concerns prior to purchasing). Super comfortable on your shoulder even when carrying heavier items like books, binders etc. Highly recommended.

Nice Strap, does what it advertises

5.0 / 5.0

I purchased this strap separately from the bag - and am definitely glad that I did. The material is great, the grip really does what is advertised. The strap stays on my shoulder with no problem, and even better it stays in place on the strap itself - no unwanted sliding up and down , but it is still easy to adjust when I want to. Good quality material, and good addition to my bag. One thing I hadn't thought of - but now realize is important - is that this strap is also flexible and conforms to the shoulder easily. The material is not so stiff that you end up with this big rectangular piece of material that just sits on your shoulder. It conforms and is very comfortable. Looks nice too !

Arrived as Pictured

5.0 / 5.0

Contrary to another review, the strap pad arrived as pictured: with a light colored trademark swirl that I would say is a white/light grey neutral color (the other review stated it came with a yellow swirl which he/she found to clash with the colors of his/her bag). This strap pad with grip is a great addition to my black and grey paneled large Timbuk2 messenger bag. Also, the price is right; the same product (with the same color swirl) is for sale at a nearby outdoor store for more money.

Essential.

5.0 / 5.0

Just like everything from timbuk2, it's of high quality and is recommended. The rubberized pad is the way to go, especially if you don't wear the strap across your chest. One reviewer already mentioned it keeping the bag on your shoulder, which it does.

great pad

perfect for use w/ any Timbuk2 bag. i swear by this item. rubberized lasts quite awhile too. too bad you cant recycle/send in the old strap to by having them sew in a new rubberized cover.

Testing my New Nikon P80 During a Walk in the Valley

I am a lucky fellow. My father in law returned yesterday from a business trip to Shanghai, and brought me a present - a Nikon Coolpix P80. It was perfect timing, as I was beginning to dream of a new camera. I have to read the instruction manual a few more times until I can make heads or tails of all the funky functionality. So yesterday afternoon I went out for a hike into the valley to try out the camera. I have a lot more figuring out to do with it, but here are the pictures I managed to snap.A

Life without water…

Ok, now this really sucks. Last week, I discovered that a small leak from the outside water pipe had gone from a mild seeping to a full-blown spraying. It was soaking my back porch and flowing down under the house into the crawl-space. The worst part about it, is that there’s a cut off valve right there, and I could shut the water on and off as I need to, but the cracked pipe is—of course—below the valve. Naturally! Since I’ve been working a lot of hours, and the Lovely Mrs. Shoehead was on anot

Camping and Rv’ing - Read All About It!

While reading about camping and RVing is a distant second to actually being out in nature and doing it, camping and RV’ing magazines provide some great information about camping units, camping destinations, camping gear, camping food, plus a lot more. My husband thinks I go a little overboard on my camping and RV magazine subscriptions and he’s entitled to his opinion, but I’m going to keep reading and enjoying them! If that camper or Rv’er on your Christmas list is really difficult to buy
