With plenty of colors to choose from and the same great sippy cup lid, our new Kolored Klean Kanteen stainless steel reusable water bottles are a fun, safe solution to the potential danger of BPA leaching plastic cups. Designed to fit small hands, diaper bags and purses Our 12 oz size is perfect for toddlers or for those who want a smaller water bottle to tuck in a purse or backpack. The sippy cap option contains one adaptor and a 2-pack of BPA free sippy spouts. Our Stainless Steel and Paint is Safe, Free of BPA, and Lead Free Klean Kanteen is a reusable, light weight, risk-free stainless steel container free from leaching. Made from surgical grade 304 L.N. stainless steel (18/8) which is blended specifically for: food preparation, dairy, brewing, various medical uses such as metal pins, and where mineral migration is unacceptable. Our stainless steel is put through a passivation / electropolishing process which seals the surface and prevents minerals from migrating into the contents. Klean Kanteen used Monarch Laboratories to do a 48 hour sterile water test at room temperature. Test report #222812 revealed that no nickel could be detected (0 ppm). Tests also show our bottles to be lead free and safe for use with juice, milk and other beverages. The color is provided through an Epoxy paint that has been tested to be lead, mercury, chromium and cadmium free. It's dishwasher safe (although we recommend hand washing to retain maximum color). Good water bottle for toddlers
I got the Klean Kanteen Sippy for my 1 year old because she kept wanting to drink from my larger one with a loop cap and spilling water all over herself. She loves to carry it around and has no problem holding it to drink from it. There are only two minor problems--firstly toddlers love to throw drink cups so it's got a couple of character dents and secondly the Avent sippy seal portion has to be cleaned regularly. (A limitation of sippy-type cups in general.) On the plus side, the Avent spout can be easily replaced if damaged and in a couple of years I expect I'll be able to switch to a sports cap.
can't use other types of caps
i was under the impression that i could use a spout with it as well but it doesn't seem to work. very annoying since the life of this very expensive bottle will be very short!
Leaky Mess
This sippy cup leaks everywhere. The Aventi spout has a little air hole that allows all types of liquids to leak out and get all over the place. It's unfortunate that this expensive sippy cup doesn't compare with less expensive brands.
Terrific alternative to plastic sippy cups
I have been very happy with the Klean Kanteen sippy cup. My 16 m.o. daughter has no trouble drinking from it and she doesn't have trouble holding it, which was a concern since it doesn't have handles. I feel so good about the fact that it is stainless steel and not plastic. It dishashes up perfectly and is ready to go. I bought 5 of the 12 oz canteens so I can send them to school in my other 2 children's lunch boxes.
